Loosely based on Rae’s life, Insecure is about the “friendship of two modern-day Black women, Issa (Rae) and Molly (Yvonne Orji), and all of their uncomfortable experiences and racy tribulations.”
The show also stars Jay Ellis as Lawrence, Issa’s cute, but unemployed boyfriend, and Lisa Joyce as Issa’s coworker at an educational non-profit firm.
True to her mission to amplify diverse voices in Hollywood, Insecure also features an incredibly inclusive slate of writers.
Skai Jackson, 14, literally giving me life and clapping back at Azealia Banks, grown ass woman, after Banks went on an islamophobic, homophobic, ignorant rant towards recording artist Zayn Malik. How embarrassing and shameful to pick a fight with a child (and LOSE mind you). Go on collect them L’s Azealia, K.O.
Honestly tho? Azealia’s edges aren’t the only ones that just got snatched. Consider mine GONE. #JrQueenOfClapbacks
